Anyone ever paddle/ fish this area? I haven't since I was a kid but I am taking my daughter out there this week for some paddling and fishing, any tips?

That area is pretty sweet. Lots of fish when it’s extremely low but go early while it’s cool and just have fun.

Had a great time out there today, we didn't do any fishing because we were having a blast exploring and paddling. We did run into some scallops though, thanks!

I also responded to this on Big Bend Fishing. Did you see any mullet big enough to fry? It seems like I would have heard more about this place. It also seems to easy like the fish are pretty far out because of how shallow it is for so long.

Hey Champ I saw some pretty good sized ones Saturday there most of them were in that Piney Point area. I'll be going back in a couple weeks for some trout I'll check it out again unless you make it there first.

I might head there tomorrow but I’m not sure yet. I repeated my feat with the mullet at Goose Pasture since the story in the mullet thread, and did not I repeat did not catch them all. Then to give them a rest, the next time I went into the slave canal and saw nothing. So then today I went back to Goose Pasture and saw maybe 10 mullet. That’s usually how many you see in 30 seconds out there. Now it had rained yes, and it was darker but not black. I wonder if they’ve high tailed it to the ocean. Fall is in the air just a tiny bit.
