Kayak Boondoggle Next Week

The wife and I are headed out to the Kayak Boondoggle in Louisiana next week. We're there from Friday through Monday. If anyone on the forum is going, stop by and say hello. Look for a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew White with gold trim pulling 2 Hobie PA14s. Tight lines!

Well I'm back home and it wasn't a blast...lol. I'm not posting to bash it, but let's just say if you're going to invite supposedly 500 folks to an event, there should be some organization and rules and above all a place to launch a kayak. Sadly this was missing from the event. We packed up and left Saturday evening versus staying until Monday.

I did manage to go fishing with some friends way south of New Orleans on Saturday. While the fishing was slow, we still had a great time. It was just enjoyable being on the water with good friends.

Bummer to hear. Tournaments can be fun, when properly done. Sadly, not all are done properly. Sounds and looks like you made the best of an unfortunate situation.
