This is a smoking hot topic on the other forums. I'm not surprised ( in a good way) it is quieter over here

Probably better stay over here with folks that catch fish. I don't think them boaters ever catch 2 redfish.jsuber wrote:I cant believe you would bother reading other forums.

Re: Florida red drum survey
I just have to ask why they have an open survey through the end of May if they have already made the decision to lower the bag limit on May 1st to one per day in the NorthWest region...?? I took the survey thinking I would do my part a week ago. Then saw the news release below.
http://m.myfwc.com/news/news-releases/2 ... /red-drum/
Not that I care about keeping any since I've only kept one redfish in the last two years of fishing that I messed up trying to get a hook out. I just like hunting/catching them...
The bag limit changes on May 1 and then at the June 2016 meeting they will decide whether to continue the lowered bag limit.

You made two excellent points with your post worth repeating. A few times I wish I had a ice bag with me just so I could give someone a gut hooked fish.Dutch wrote:I just have to ask why they have an open survey through the end of May if they have already made the decision to lower the bag limit.
