went tarpon fishing & finally had some action
sadly, it wasn't a tarpon that ate my top water plug ;-(
heres the other side of my sad tarpon story
I didn't try to weigh or measure it because I wanted to get it back quickly but that was my best inshore redfish (and on top water) so the tarpon will just have to fear me awhile longer....

Dang, don't you hate getting bothered by fish you're not specifically after? Pesky jumping lady fish, fighting sail cats, huge redfish, etc. Seriously, that's a beauty! Nice going BBS.

in reply to luceror, we have seen many tarpon at Lanark in the past 30 days but only Rob and Bob have hooked from a yak as far as I know. We have seen a few hookups from fly fishing boats as well. They are mostly moving from east to west when I see them. Hopefully yakers will post as they experience success.

Who doesn't hate by-catch? Especially when it's a lousy giant red. Congrats on an awesome fish!
