10-10 oyster bay

Post by H_luciae »

What a beautiful morning to be out. Tide was rising and the wind was low. Went out to the usual bar and island. Did not get much till about 10:30. Then they started to bite for me. Landed 2 large and heavy trout- 22 and 20, lost a good red at the boat due to nicked leader( forgot to snip after a few oysters). Got another good 19" red then switched to the fly rod. Got into small trout, moved and go another decent sized trout. Moved back to the curve of the bar and got a red on the fly. The wind was pleasantly inconsistent, which allowed for the full range of fishing. Headed home happy and the family gets a fish dinner. Sorry no pictures since I still have an old phone.
