10/13 and 14 Carrabelle

Post by TTTrrr3434 »

I launched from Ho Humm Campground on the morning of the 13 th with the hope of showing my youngest son some of the explosive action that I have experienced all summer from that area. Against advice I went straight across and fished the flat area and between the goal post with the hope of bait balls and schooling fish and needless to say the action was slow and we worked hArd for every bite. The total fish payout was three trout and one bLue landed and several missed my son was two trout and a Spanish Mack.

On the 14, I decided to listen to the advice of Mr. Suber and I launched by the fire tower during high tide we were both using white spooks my son had the spook junior and almost immediately hooked up with a very large Red which he fought for several minutes and lost the over slot Red right next to the yak. I was using the super spook and I landed 5 nice trout one 23 in and one large Spanish Mack. My son was doing well and then he decided to shark fish in which I frown upon but he very much enjoys and after several hookups and near catches we called it the day at night fall. A very productive and exciting evening.

Great fishing with your son. It sounds like you two did well together.

Suber will always steer your right. Way to go on the fishing.
