Levy Bay 11/30
This is my first post so bear with me. I put in at Levy Bay road about 7:00. Paddled south to the to the second channel. Headed west till it bends south. Caught a nice 22" red and paddled a little further south to where the first small channel empties on the west side. Made a blind cast to the middle of the main channel and landed another 22" red. Caught 4 more reds there. 1 more over 20", 2 about 15" and 1 rat. Caught all of them on a new penny gulp with a red jig head. Made another cast to the same area and felt a hit as it was dropping. Ended up landing a small trout. Ended up landing 9 more trout, 3 were about 18". All the trout hit the gulp shrimp on jig head. Great day on the water! Moved down here in June from Indiana, and all the info on this site has been a huge help. Thanks to everybody. Sorry no pics, I'll try to remember to take some next time.

Good job Kirk. Nice post! Living in Atlanta I only get to make 3 or 4 trips to Florida a year so I get to live vicariously through the posts of you guys. Keep 'em coming.
Expatriate Floridian living in the "Land of the Ice and Snow" that is Atlanta.

Nice catching, kerk1176! Welcome to the site! Make yourself known to the locals on here and most will be happy to show you the ropes, although you seem to be roping them pretty well already.

Thanks for the post. Having moved from Indy in '79 myself, you came to the right place! Laugh during February when it is 0 and 4 ft of snow up there and fishing weather here. Glad to have you here.

Welcome.
I like that idea of moving there from the north. Probably should give that some serious thought!

I hear places near Port St. Joe are nice if you build a house on the lot.BackCast wrote:Welcome.

Re: Levy Bay 11/30
I think my gearing ratio is all wrong. It seems like the faster I move, the slower I get there. I now have a leg with improved circulation, one eye with a new lens implant (cataract surgery), another eye scheduled for next week, and I finally talked with my boss (employer boss, not wife boss) about a retirement date. All that but still no headway with a ground-breaking!fishinbug wrote:I hear places near Port St. Joe are nice if you build a house on the lot.BackCast wrote:Welcome.
