We launched 3 kayaks from the boat ramp (lowest we have seen the tide in awhile) and headed out towards Pelican Point. Not much movement or activity. There were a few jumping in the creek mouths, but not much. Caught a 15 1/4" trout about 1/2 mile past Pelican Point near the creeks. Slow retrieve with New Penny Jerk Shad Gulp. Tight lines!

Thanks for the report, yakpacking77! This is that time of year when you find a bunch or don't find them at all. I like where you fished. One of my favorite places. To me, late winter is a good opportunity to try out all the stuff you just don't go to when the bite is hot. It's a great time to try something new. You never know.

Well done and welcome to the board. As the weather warms the fishing gets hot.
