Bottoms rd..3/16

Post by luceror »

Tried fr reds in morning. Couldn't find any. Got one nice trt on a jig while fishing in ma rsh. Went out to "flats", some salt&pepper lookin bottom. Picking up a few borborderline trt. After change of tide.got on some nicer trt. As I was reeling in the 4th hook up a good sized shark tried to eat it at the surface. He gave it a good try tore the water up . I was Leary abt netting trt but I got him. That was last hit in that area. Jig/z man dragging bottom was most productive.

Sharks make for exciting times out there. Sounds like you had to work for those trout.

Great report! Good job winning the shark battle too. I also belong to a Texas forum and am amazed that most of those guys use stringers tied to their kayaks. The main areas I fish are North Florida and the Tampa Bay area; in either a stringer would be nuts IMO.

Nice fish man!

Good to hear about all the trout catching- hoping the trout will be better this year than last.

Thanks for the report!
