Pepperfish Keys - 9/31/2017

Post by SRAces »

Tim and I fished Pepperfish Keys Saturday morning. The winds were forecasted to be around 1mph at launch, 4mph by 10am and 7mph by 2pm. They turned out a little stronger in the late morning and we found that coming in (back up the creek to the launch) the water was still not moving into the creek.

The water clarity wasn't its normal clear clarity and we also ran into patches of loose grass. No large fish caught except for my one red and several trout in the upper teens. I usually don't photograph fish caught unless they are 20 inches and longer, so only one fish picture for this report.

Tim boated 1 bluefish, 1 jack, 1 red and 22 trout. I boated 3 black sea bass, 2 reds and 23 trout. :D

Nice job Steve. Did I read those numbers right? Timmy doesn't often let anyone catch more than him!

Nice report! It looks like a really pretty place to fish. Cotton looks right at home sitting on that grassline!

I was shocked how dirty the water was when i was there. My last visit resulted in not one red to the yak. Good on yall.
