Was sitting in Denny's eating a late breakfast with the wife around 10:30am. A friend of mine from Moody AFB texted that the and his dad were headed to Spring Creek and I was welcome to join them. Renee goes 'why don't you join them?" and that's all the motivation I needed...lol! Daniel and his dad were already on the road when we left Denny's.
Got home, changed clothes and loaded the Compass and the minimum I needed. When I got on the creek and caught up to Daniel and his dad, they were a third of the way down the creek.
The bite was nowhere near what it was at Shell Point the previous day, but I managed 3 fish and all three were over 20 inches. Had a great time on the water with Daniel and Weldon (his dad).
