Fishing trip mid February

Coming down to your great area Feb 16-23
Staying in plantation area on SGI
Wondering what areas people would suggest, I have rental kayak to use.
Appreciate any information

You can launch at the end of Pelican Lane. Fish west towards airport.

Made it down epic drive thru foggy snow in Indiana, planning to try fishing tomorrow
Heading out around 11- going to try pelican Lane and go west
Thinking jigs? Topwater?

I like a bone colored Spook Jr. and many others go with a One Knocker in the same color for topwater. Gold spoon, jig head/plastic combo, suspending twitch baits are all worth a try. Enjoy the fishing and I hope you have great weather.
