Yates Creek
Well, football and basketball are done for me for the year, so Saturday morning I am hitting Yates Creek. plan to shove off at about 7 if anyone else wants to join. Been lurking all of the recent posts, and can't wait to get out there. Will report after the trip. Tight Lines!!!

Re: Yates Creek
You're probably rigging up and getting ready to launch at this moment. Good thoughts coming your way. Have fun and catch something.

Re: Yates Creek
Was a beautiful morning. Hit the water at 7 am and fished till about 11:30. High tide at 9. Tried in the creeks, but no takers. Went out to the flats to fish the grass beds and oyster mounds. That is where I caught both the trout and the red. Trout came on 1/8 oz chartruise jighead and new penney shrimp under a rattling float in about 2 ' of water. The red hit the same combo but with out the float in about 10 inches of water and was a brute to land. Wish I had spent all of my time on the flats instead of messing with the creeks. Anyway, it's been so long since I have been able to get out, I just had a great time paddling and enjoying the morning without 45 middle schoolers hooting and hollering.
