Well, football and basketball are done for me for the year, so Saturday morning I am hitting Yates Creek. plan to shove off at about 7 if anyone else wants to join. Been lurking all of the recent posts, and can't wait to get out there. Will report after the trip. Tight Lines!!!

You're probably rigging up and getting ready to launch at this moment. Good thoughts coming your way. Have fun and catch something.

Was a beautiful morning. Hit the water at 7 am and fished till about 11:30. High tide at 9. Tried in the creeks, but no takers. Went out to the flats to fish the grass beds and oyster mounds. That is where I caught both the trout and the red. Trout came on 1/8 oz chartruise jighead and new penney shrimp under a rattling float in about 2 ' of water. The red hit the same combo but with out the float in about 10 inches of water and was a brute to land. Wish I had spent all of my time on the flats instead of messing with the creeks. Anyway, it's been so long since I have been able to get out, I just had a great time paddling and enjoying the morning without 45 middle schoolers hooting and hollering. :D
