I escaped work a few hours early and decided to do a little scouting\fishing. Because the wind was blowing pretty good today and I wanted to cover a lot of territory, I took the skiff out. Took off from the fort and headed to the Lighthouse where I fished my way back up river. There were Redfish all over the bars in the river. I caught only one keeper size but we caught a couple dozen just under slot. Fiddler crabs and gulps did the trick. Seems like with the warmer weather the fish are friskier and starting to move on out.
I may go out tomorrow at the lighthouse in the yak.....
