I've been remiss in posting reports but rest assured that I still do fish! I get to salt once in a while but my main focus has been targeting bass on our lakes and rivers. I've had the great fortune of catching some really nice lunkers and this article that I wrote as a member of the Jackson Kayak Fishing Team for jacksonkayak.com recounts a recent river trip with another fishing team member.

Sounds like a great day on the water. As usual you did a wonderful job of taking us along with your words and pictures.

Jean, the way you slay those monsters never ceases to amaze! I'd venture to say you're on an extremely short list of people who've caught that many 10+ fish and joined the "Teen" club. And it's even shorter list when you didn't do it on a giant Golden Shiner.

Thanks so much, everyone!!
Catching those big giant bass is an absolute thrill! Amazing creatures that I had no clue about just a few short years ago. Many "fish of a lifetime" since then, all on artificials and all out of the kayak.
