well i got it and, after using a $30 dollar shakespear from walmart. This baby feels like a $200 dollar combo! but i'm shure it's Just because i've been using an 8 ft rod with fly line that has NO TAPER.
It looks like you are going to need to get a spare reel or one of those big plastic reels to wind on electrical cords to use to unwind the line and then reverse the roller bearing. Or if you want to switch to left hand retrieve just turn the reel over and change where the line comes out of the spool.
There is some debate on whether right handers should reel right or left depending on the species and preference.
I would not suggest just splaying it all out on the ground or it will knot before you ever get it all picked up.
Not trying to be (too) bossy but something is not quite right about the current setup, based on the photos.

good point greg. most right handed fly anglers cast, and hold the rod with the right hand. line is stripped, hauled, and reeled with the left. so if skitterwalk is right handed, he merely has to flip the reel around and he's set. no re-spooling or need to take the reel apart. maybe re-spool, tough to tell from the photo.

yea thats all i did just fliped the reel around and it was prefect thanks. I think the people from bass pro shops put the reel on backwards. And when you reel in line. Is the line supposed to lay on the outer side of the reel or the inside of the reel ?
