Edge Angling for fly tying materials

Post by Shorewalker »

As BK mentioned in the previous post. I bought some tying stuff from Edge Angling http://www.edgeangling.com/ - came up on a Google search. Their website is full fishing but it has a nice filter setup so you can search for flyfishing and items discounted by 50 to 70% percent (end of season maybe?). Also the shipping is pretty reasonable. something $6 for less than $50 and free after that.

The items on the discount tend to be certain colors while other colors being discounted less or regular priced. My order was all name brand items from Hareline, Dr Slick and whoever makes the standard Flashabou as some examples. Much of what I bought cost between $0.50 to $1.20 per item.

The website seems to be the virtual front for a bricks and mortar store called The Saltwater Edge out of Rhode Island.Their website just creates a request that is then printed and filled by hand and so the response takes an extra day or so but I would definitely order again. Some of the stuff I order had to come from a warehouse and the order took about a week and a half to arrive - part of that because I missed an email from Friday until Monday. But opposed to BPS which just dumps items without telling you, they politely asked if I wanted to replace or cancel a specific item that they could not locate (in the end they found it anyway.)
