One last topic on the this. All of this refers to the local fly fishing group called Florida Big Bend Flyfishers (FBBF) and covers the big bend of Florida and a chunk of lower Georgia as chartered by the Federation of Fly Fishers.
Made it to the meeting a little late, but wow what a turnout. I can't make most of the meeting as my son's Scouts meeting have priority over my playtime. I did not expect to see 21 people at the meeting. Several upcoming events with planned fishing get togethers and community service projects dominating the agenda. Also there is a movement to get a flytying group going once a month (likely on a Wednesday or Thursday).
At the end there was a raffle with donated flies and fly fishing books. Also there was a bit of a flea market where materials were available for purchase from a couple of estate sales.
If you are curious about the club or are a former member that got sidetracked with renewed interest shoot me a pm and I will foward inforamtion of the next meeting.
Better yet, if you are aroung St. Marks Lighthouse area February 2, stop by the booth and introduce yourself during the National Heritage Festival celebration.

I used to go to the tying groups when Tom Broderidge and Len Else taught the classes. It was always good just to be around others and learn a few new techniques. Keep me posted if the tying group gets going. I will also get with Gerald on this. Thanks for the update.
