What about an inflatable?

Post by Jorge »

I know they have their pros and cons but has anybody here tried one? The ease of transportation makes them quite tempting but are the risks of breakage too much? I would appreciate any and all input. Thanks!

Oyster bars trump portability - people around here can puncture a normal kayak trying to fish around it.

I had one several years ago that I got in the spring and took to Lake Cumberland. I think I fished out of it twice and the kids had a great time paddling it around the entire 4 day trip. Then I dried it out, packed it back up and stored it in the barn. When I took it out the following spring the mice had eaten holes in it. I won't be buying another one.
