Inshore charter

Post by Yak Crevalle »

We're down at Alligator Point for the week and didn't bring any kayaks but we're itching to get out on the water and thinking about doing an inshore charter. Any recommendations on a captain for us to call? I know we're a little late and may not find someone with an opening, but we're going to try. My wife has never caught anything but catfish, whiting, and shark...so I'm hoping to see her catch some reds, trout, flounder, etc.

Thanks for any advice/help. We're definitely going to have to bring the kayaks next year. Found too many great spots yesterday where we would need them.

Looks like we're going with Rock the Boat Charters. We've got a big group of folks and five are wanting to go. Not ideal. Looks like I'll be trying to stay out of the way with my topwater lures and letting the ladies have at it. Hoping to see my wife catch her first red and/or trout...maybe more...and that'll make me happy.

One big lesson we're learning is that we really need kayaks to enjoy all the great spots around Panacea. Checked out the launch at Levy Bay Rd. today and it looked great just from the launch.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Well, Rock the Boat is booked up. Just shot an email over to St. Marks Outfitters. I have a feeling that we're probably not going to find an opening this late.

If you want the best kayak fishing guide in the area call Robby at Wilderness Way. He can probably hook you up.
