Any fishing trips planned?

Post by Fishing buddy »

Well, it looks like a warm weekend ahead. Anyone have plans. Hunting season is over and now it's time to clean off the yak, get the reels some new line and catch some fish.

It sure is looking good! I’ve got family visitors in town so my time on the water will be taking them for a short paddle.
Have a great time!

Watch the water temps, fishing buddy. When it hits 68* the fish will start to hit the creek mouths and grassy points. Look for a high falling tide. Go get em'! Also look for shallow dark bottoms on a rising tide. Good luck!

Fished the rising tide yesterday at Spring Creek near Perry. Lots of underslot trout. A few rat reds as well.

Thanks for asking, zeke392. A week from Tuesday I have my last surgery to reconnect the plumbing. After that it won't be long till I'm chasing fish again. Don't know about the "slaying" part though. They may slay me.

I'm still getting good reports at the shop about fish in the rivers and deeper holes along the creeks and especially in the little side creeks on the rivers.

Did you fish out of Spring Warrior? I've seen lots of pictures of anglers still catching them out on the flats there

I was able to hit a pond today for about an hour and a half. In the first 20 minutes I caught two 4 pounders. They were around what looked to be beds. I ended the day with 4 total bass. I just needed to get on the water.

I'll be going 2 and 3 times a week by April. Can't wait.
