Met up with Sven at first light to fish Bottoms Road. The water clarity was improved some over the last trip 2 weeks earlier. Sven caught 2 nice reds and kept one for the dinner table. I caught 5 reds and 1 trout. The trout was the first fish of the day. I thought it was a red initially the way it ran, but was pleased to see it was a trout pulling hard like a red. 3 of my reds were slot but under 20 inches so no pictures of those...lol! All released to get bigger!
A great half day on the water!

Thanks for the report. Hopefully heading there tomorrow.
Good enough is good enough. Going the extra mile leads to exhaustion.

Good looking fish, Steve. That's a talent, to be able to dig them out like that on these extra hot days. Good going! Somehow, my dinner invitation to Sven's house must have been lost in the mail.

I fished the Compass the previous day in a local small freshwater tournament. Got skunked...lol! Wanted a more comfortable seat to relax in after doing a lot of paddling in a lily pad lake the previous day. So the PA was the choice of the day. Sven has a PA and recently bought a Compass. He took his PA as well. We thought that was a funny coincidence.
