Taylor Counties annual kayak tourny

Post by cotton »

A bunch of us talked Taylor county into making their annual tourny, catch-photo & release if you want to.

Get over there and support them.

All,

I was just speaking with Dawn Taylor. Due to the impending hurricane, they just rescheduled the Gulf Coast Kayak/Taylor County tournament to November 17th. The captain's meeting will be on Friday the 16th. Same locations, rules, etc apply. If you have already pre-paid, you are still good for the 17th of November.

I hate the reason, but the date makes it much more possible for me!

I am hoping it goes over well as we told them they would get more participants if it was a CPR versus weigh-in tournament. Looking forward to it. Not getting the dinner they offer at the Captain's meeting. I am sure it will be great food.

The tide is decent for tournament day. Could get a little skinny for recovery mid afternoon depending on where you go.

Thats what I like. Who wants to fish a tournament when the lucky win because conditions were ideal. I want to fish when skills mean something.

I pick Suber to win. I have seen him get lucky many times over but don't think I have ever seen him skilled. Just kidding. Bottom line, if the conditions are the same for everybody then the playing field is level.I'm sure Jeff remembers some of our 50 mph tournament days. We still had winners.

I'm in. Already signed up. I can't do the dinner either with all my post surgery diet restrictions. As it is, I have to take a half of a viagra pill every day just so I don't pee on my shoes.
