Just thought I would bring this previous post back to the top. It has great information for those out of town folks who will be fishing the FCKA tournament. Thanks once again Jeff.

Let me know if , there is new update to your original post.
I'm about to shop for fishing hardware, until I drop at Kevins...or other local shops.

One Knocker in bone works great but honestly any color will work in a pinch but bone is confidence.

Gold Aqua Dream Livin spoon in gold and 1/4 or 3/8 oz

1/16,1/8, & 1/4 oz jig heads DOA or slayer

3-4" paddle tail and I like Saltwater Assassin, DOA or Slayer

DOA 5.5 glow jerk baits

Gulp shrimp in 2,3, & 4" in glow or any will work

DOA shrimp 1/4 oz under a popping cork

5/0 worm hooks for jerk baits or rigging gulp weedless to toss in grass

Do you rig the jerk bait just through the nose ? or will that snag too much grass?

Thanks Mr. Jeff for the info, this will be my first classic, but hopefully not the last. If you don't mind taking the time but could you list some other essential items that us "newbies" might not have thought of for the big bend area or forgotten coast? maybe comfort items and safety items as well....Thanks in advance!

Two items that I would already highly recommend: 1) At least a handheld compass, be suprised how fast fog can roll in (at anytime of the day) and totally loose bearings even fishing the shoreline. 2) Invest in one of the many available, affordable, truly WATERPROOF, pouches for any electronics: phone, camera, GPS, etc. A "baggie", even heavy duty, don't cut it.
Stake Out Pole anchor is not a neccesity but comes in handy for quick, efficent positioning in shallow water

I am more likely to use my net on tournament days. Otherwise I use the Boca grip. Camera, measure board, and some kind of anchor, anchor trolley can be nice as well.

Sun protection, extra water, spare key for the car.
