I am thinking about buying a new set of tools dont want to spend all my material money though.
I want to get a new vise to tie spoon flies on #4 HOOKS so would like a recommendation also I am thinking about getting a nice bobbin any input would be great. Do I need a rotation vise and also is the Dan vise any good for what I am wanting to do?

There are so many great vises on the market these days, I have stopped touting my old favorite (renzetti traveler). I strongly recommend you get a rotary vise. Even if you don't take full advantage of the rotary feature, you will find it much easier to tie on a rotary vise. You can turn the fly around easily which makes it easier to see the whole fly and get the material just the way you want it on all sides. Virtually every decent vise with handle a number 4 hook.

I have had a Dyna King for ten years and I dont remember the name but it is very similar to the Prince, and it has been great. It is not the most expensive one out there and I am sure that I paid alot less than they are listing for now. The only hooks that I have had a problem with are the really small midge hooks for trout, otherwise it will hold everything else, plus it will pack up really easy.

I'll second the the rotary suggestion. It doesn't have to be "true" rotary but for saltwater patterns, it is nice to be able quickly turn the fly from top to bottom as you layer materials. You might look into exchangeable head vises for midge to tarpon coverage. If your travels take you near a larger fly shop stop by and take a look so you can get a feel for what the differences in craftsmanship are.

I have a couple Rite ceramic bobbins off ebay and I really like them for putting the pressure on.
