Went up to Blue Ridge with the family for a long weekend. Got out on a half day trip with Captain & Captain Guide Service. (http://flyfishingnorthgeorgia.com/). Caught 3 Rainbows and a brown all about this same size. Hooked a 16"-18" brown for 3 or 4 seconds after he rose to a dry fly Which was awesome to see. Missed the first few fish trying to break the salt water strip strike habit. :D Hunter Morris was a lot of fun to fish with.. great instructor, patient, and didn't try to correct his client on every cast.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip! Must have been a thrill to see those fish come up to your lure in the clear water.

Beautiful area. I happened to be hiking/camping in the pouring rain below the dam November, 1977. The dam broke and killed 39 people. We were lucky to escape unharmed. 8O

Beautiful area...very peaceful. I've fished that river a few times and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Fishing below the dam in the summer just after they've restocked has been a blast. Congrats on landing some rainbows and browns!

On a funny note Hunter (the guide) has heard rumors of Dr. Allee pond down here in our parts
